Tina and I were friends, and unfortunately we lost touch over the years. I just learned of her passing  today! I am so heartbroken for her family and friends! R.I.P. Tina I hope you have found peace! Love. Scott 

While going through some old files, I took note that it had been a decade already, and that her family has spent 10 years of Christmas without her.    I only knew Christina Badus for a brief time when she was just out of the Academy and going through her training cycles in my old District before being reassigned.  She nevertheless left a great impression on many Officers, myself included.  P.P.O. Badus was a complete professional who handled many difficult situations with a maturity that belied her youthful appearance.  I recall at least a couple of occasions where she earned Honorable Mentions in addition to other Department honors for outstanding arrests.  P.P.O. Badus  also was a down to earth individual who was proud to be a Chicago Police Officer, and indicated that she was eager to learn from the rest of the watch.   Her death came as a shock to many in the Department, and  has brought sadness to this day.  Her family should know that it was a privilege to have known and worked with Christina Badus.  May the peace of God be forever with all of you.

I only had the chance to meet Christina last week while in CIT training.
