Christine Beberdick

Christine Beberdick (nee Vranas), age 72, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, passed on August 17, 2026. Born on January 27, 1954, to the late James and Pauline Vranas. Christine was the devoted mother of the late Jamie, Eric and Adam (Sarah) Beberdick. Cherished Yiayia of Frank Beberdick. Dear sister of Bill J. (Peggy) Vranas. Aunt of Jason (Vasiliki) Vranas, niece of Dianne (The late Spero) Gianopoulos, the late Paul (Lola) Vranas, the late Mary (Steve) Gianacopoulos, the late John Vranas, and the late Constance (George) Chioros; cousin of Christine (Phillip) Surma, Anthony (Virginia) Gianopoulos and James (Kimberly) Gianopoulos. Kathy (Peter) Karlis, Vicki (David) Smith, Michael (Lynda) Chioros, Peter (Priscilla) Chioros, William P. (Aphrodite) Vranas, John (Annette) Vranas, Nick (Ellena) Vranas, Peter (Christine) Vranas and the late Georgia (James) Marinos.

Christine loved working with children. She worked as a teaching assistant at Kellogg Elementary School and at Nico’s Playhouse. But most importantly, she loved her own children and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. May her memory be eternal.

Christine’s visitation will be held at Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 S Roberts Rd, Palos Hills, IL 60465, on August 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am. A committal will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
