Almost a year without him and there hasn't been a day where he hasn't crossed my mind. If you're reading this, think of Doug today and all of the lives that he touched.

My condolences to the family. I was a client of Doug's and just learned of his passing. What a gentle soul, truly a kind man.

Doug and his family were our wonderful neighbors in Sister Lakes, MI.  He was gentle, kind, and had all the admirable attributes of what is a sincere family man.  Most of all, he never had a bad word to say about anyone; but, he would poke fun at me when I tried to "play down" some of our other neighbors' antics (and mine too).  So glad to have known you... Douggie you surely will be missed!
May the Angels protect you and Heaven accept you.

Doug is my brother-in-law, friend and mentor.  It is rare to find a person that puts you at immediate ease upon meeting them.  This was Doug.  I watched him give freely and love unconditionally without expectation.  I learned about how to be a better person simply by spending time with him and watch the way he went about life.  The world is a better place for those who came across his amiable smile and inherent grace.  I will there without fail for Pauline, Cara and Cate.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Lewellyn family. It was an honor to call Doug my brother and my friend. He was fun, gentle, kind a true leader. In the few years I was around him at the fraternity his example made me a better person. He will always be remembered in my heart and in the hearts of many others.

I choose to celebrate Doug's life and all he gave to so many people. Doug was a huge part of many of my craziest college memories. Best "guy friend" around! Always smiling and laughing. Pauline I know you didn't get enough years, but I'm sure the ones you had were wonderful. Sometimes life just isn't fair. I'm truly sorry for your loss and share in your grief. The pictures you posted made me smile. Beautiful family.

Doug was such a gift of constant positive energy.  He always was out front raising everyone's spirits through songs and cheers.  His humor and infectious laugh always drove a smile.  He leaned in to give advice and help others.  He is gone too early.  My condolences to Pauline and the family.  You are all in my thoughts.

Shocked and saddened by the passing of this way-too-young man. Pauline, my sincere condolences.
