Edward J. “Fast Eddie” Hartel, age 89 is survived by his beloved sister, Mary P. Chitwood, several nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by parents Mary (nee Caulfield) and Edward Hartel, sister Elizabeth Egan wife of William Egan, brother John and Diane Hartel.
Retired ADT Security 43 years of service, served in the United States Army 543 Engineers. Interment with military honors at St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Edward that will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois. A funeral will occur on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. A chapel service will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
