Beloved husband to Patti Wintercorn-Engel of Lemont, IL; devoted son of Joyce (the late Ed) Engel of Alsip; loving brother of Cheryl (Bill) Zofkie of Oak Forest, Mike (Dawn) Engel of Orland Park and Russ (Natalie) Engel of Orland Park; loving father of Taylor (fiancé Tony Vestuto) Engel of Chicago Ridge and step father to Julie (Carl) Olson of Fond du Lac, WI, Jill (Chad) Stewart of Milwaukee, WI and Sam (Margie) Berget of Lisbon, WI; cherished Grandpa Ed to Levi, Eva and Johnathan; Uncle Ed to Katie, Ashley, Jenna, Mike, Russ and Michaelyn; Highly thought of by many aunts, uncles, friends, co-workers, cousins and colleagues.

Ed was a Vice-President of Madison Construction and has worked over 35 years in the construction industry in various capacities. Some of his career accomplishments were as General Superintendent of large building projects, such as Millennium Park, East West University, Lawn Dale Christian Medical Center, Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center in the Cook County Forest Preserve and others. Ed was 1980 Graduate of Evergreen Park Community High School. He enjoyed life, his family, friends, parties, grilling out, palm trees, and the Florida Keys.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 15th 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. Interment Private.
