Eileen will be remembered as a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her—faithful in spirit, kind-hearted in the ways that mattered most, and patient with a quiet steadiness that brought comfort to family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing time with her.
Eileen was the beloved wife to the late Robert E. Bohne Sr. for 30 years. She was the loving mother of Bryant (Kelly) Bohne Sr., and stepmother of Robert E. (Darice) Bohne Jr. and the late Denise (Lonnie) Murray. She was a devoted grandmother to Bryant Bohne Jr., Katelyn Bohne, Kelsey Bohne, Jason Bohne, Sarah Bohne, and Allen Bohne.
Fond sister of Danny (Helen) Stokes, Michael (Michaela) Stokes, Mark (Sharon) Stokes, Susan (Alan) Kolwitz, and Donna (Joe) Hebbard, and the late Patricia Stokes. She was also a fond aunt and cousin to many.
A teacher for over 20 years, Eileen brought care and constancy to her work and to the people around her. Away from the classroom, she found joy in cooking, creating art, gardening and practicing calligraphy—interests that reflected her thoughtful nature and gentle attention to detail. She especially cherished time spent with family and she loved to travel, including taking cruises that offered both rest and discovery.
Eileen’s life leaves a lasting imprint of devotion, warmth and grace. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A visitation will be held on Thursday September 24, 2026 at Blake Lamb Funeral Home 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday September 25, 2026 at St. Damien Catholic Church 5250 155th St, Oak Forest, IL 60452 beginning at 10:00am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
