We have walked by her house almost every day for the many years we have lived down the block. We’ve walked to and from church with her many times catching up with neighborhood news. A wonderful happy lady.

Between the ages of 2 & 3 I became Elaine's living mannequin. She was going to beautician school so she practiced on me. We didn't have hair rollers in those days, only painful hairpins, two in each curl. Elaine had a strong grip on my hair each time she wound the hair around her fingers. I was sure my hair was going to come out any minute. We didn't have a hair dryer in the house so trying to go to sleep at night with pins poking through your head and wearing a hair net and a silk scarf didn't make sleeping easy for a toddler. However, the next morning was amazing. I looked liked Shirley Temple with the bouncing curls and paraded through the house touching every curl. She made me feel like a princess and treated me like one.

My deepest sympathy to her children & spouses, grandchildren & spouses, and great grandchildren. Your love for her will always be remembered and the wonderful care you gave her throughout the years. She had a marvelous caretaker, Elizabeth and I will always be grateful that she was with her to the very end.

Goodbye Dear Sister, Love you so much,
Joyce
