Elizabeth Czajka passed on September 8, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on July 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Metzger. A beloved and faithful presence in the lives of those who knew her, Elizabeth will be remembered with enduring gratitude and respect.
She was the beloved wife and forever dance partner of 60 years to the late Raymond Czajka, a devotion that stood as a steady testament to a life rooted in love and faith. She was a loving mom of Dianna (the late Thomas) Tanner, Balinda (Philip) Mugica and Sandra Czajka.
An adoring “grandma Betty,” she is lovingly remembered by Michael (Sharon) Tanner, Christopher (Jennifer) Tanner, Melissa (the late Michael) Irwin (partner John Barrett), and Monica (Christopher) Dennis. She was a cherished great-grandma to Grayson Tanner, Madeline Tanner, Michael Irwin Jr., Adley Dennis and Aria Dennis. She was the dear sister of the late Richard (the late Lorraine) Metzger.
Elizabeth devoted 35 years to shaping young lives as a preschool teacher at Kiddy Kapers, serving families with steady care, patience, and a faithful sense of purpose. Her commitment to community was also evident in her service as past president of Our Lady of Loretto Mothers Club, where she gave her time with warmth and constancy.
In her personal life, Elizabeth found joy in gardening, travel, going to restuarants, shopping, getting dressed up, and reading the newspaper. She especially loved decorating for the holidays, bringing beauty and a welcoming spirit to the seasons and to those gathered around her.
