Eugene R. Herman, 98, passed away on October 21, 2025. Beloved Husband of the late Kathryn "Cleta", nee Walsh, for a loving 59 years. Devoted Father of Eugene Michael, Mary (Judson) McLeod, Therese (Bill) Smith, Tom (JoAnne), Carol (Dave) O'Keeffe. Proud Grandfather of Samantha (Chris) Schramm, Kelly McLeod, Casey McLeod, Jason (Frances) Smith, Brian (Marissa) Smith, Cassie, Lucas, Shannon O'Keeffe, Sheila O'Keeffe, David O'Keeffe, Claudia O'Keeffe, and Marty O'Keeffe; and Great-Grandpa of Lilly Schramm, Wesley Schramm, Emryck Smith, Jamison Smith, Nyle Smith, Keelyn Smith, and Nolan Smith. Dear Son of the late Sigmund and Ethel, nee Pomeranz. Fond Brother of Tom (the late Patricia) and the late Richard (Marie), Robert, Rosemary (the late Edward) Rickert, James (Colleen), and Dolores (the late Jerry) Trandel. Loving Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation for Eugene will be held Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Funeral to follow on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, proceeding to St Linus Catholic Church, 10300 Lawler Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803.
