Evelyn B. Wegrzyn, age 96, passed away on May 20, 2025. Beloved Wife of the late John T. for a loving 67 years. Devoted Mother of Donna (Greg) Zuidema, Valerie (Rahim) Tabriz, Jennifer (Roger) Usher, and the late Michelle. Proud Grandmother of Parisa (Emerson), David (Heather), John (Stephanie), Mary (Nate), Michael, Allison (Emmett), and Caroline (Thomas); and Great-Grandmother of Hannah, Nolan, Samantha, and Jude. Cherished Daughter of Albert and Anna Kolodziej. Dear Sister of Edward (the late Antje) Kolodziej. Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Evelyn’s family would like to thank Kristina for her loving care of their mother.

Evelyn will be remembered fondly as a wonderful seamstress, always on hand to mend a garment, and an excellent baker who showed her love through her delectable baked goods.

A Visitation for Evelyn will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Funeral to follow Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, proceeding to Our Lady At St Germaine Catholic Church, 9711 S Kolin Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice, IL.
