Genevieve "Jean" Surma Petrasek, nee Rzeszut, age 90, of Oak Lawn, IL; passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025. Beloved wife of the late John Surma and the late Edward Petrasek; loving mom of Paul Petrasek, Elizabeth (Mark) Nazorek, the late Debra Horner, the late Mark Petrasek, Laura Slak, Robert Petrasek Sr. and Donna Black; cherished busia of Allison, John, Kristen, Crystle, Gregory, Chanel, Edward, the late Joseph II, Taylor, Jaclyn, Robert Jr. and Jonathan; proud great-grandma of Colton, Maya, Mason, Aspen, Joseph III, Vincent, Jacob, Leo and Brianna; fond daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Rzeszut; dearest sister preceded in death by John Rzeszut, Anna Rzeszut, Sophie Kozak, Cecelia Waszak, Irene Nykiel and Theresa Mierzwa; caring aunt of many nieces and nephews.
