DEAR CAROLE: HOW SAD IT IS TO LOSE A MAN LIKE GERRY.  HONORABLE MEN LIKE HIM APPEAR TO BE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN.  HE WAS A SPIRITUAL PERSON, TRUSTWORTHY, LOYAL, INTELLIGENT AND A NATURAL TEACHER.  AMONG HIS MANY OTHER GREAT TALENTS, HE HAD A UNIQUE MOTOVATIONAL STYLE IN WHICH HE USED THE QUOTATIONS OF OTHER SUCCESSFUL LEADERS TO DRIVE HOME A MESSAGE HE WANTED TO GET ACROSS. A PRIME EXAMPLE HE OFTEN USED TO ILLUSTRATE THE VALUE OF HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY WAS, "IF YOU LIVE BY THE SWORD, YOU DIE BY THE SWORD."  ANOTHER HE USED TO EVALUATE DIFFERENT CHOICES WAS, 'IF IT LOOKS
LIKE A DUCK, AND WALKS LIKE A DUCK AND TALKS LIKE DUCK, IT IS A DUCK.' BUT THE MOST FAVORITE ONE TO PERSONIFY HIMSELF WAS, HEY WORLD, 'I'VE GOT ALL THE MOVES!!!"  -- AND HE CERTAINLY DID.  BUT NOW'S TIME TO MOVE FORWARD.  GOD SPEED OLE BUDDY.

Extending my sympathy and prayers to you and your family.  It's been many years since I worked with Gerry, but I still reflect back on things I learned while working for him.  What a great guy!  He was quite an example and teacher to me both in business and how to love life.  I'll always remember his energy, enthusiasm, contageous smile, and twinkle in his eye - especially when he had something up his sleeve.  I fondly remember my car ride down the Florida Keys one RHD trip with you and Gerry.  Thanks for letting me ride with you and allowing me to see a snippet of your life together.  You made a great team!

I would like to express my condolences to the Riemersma Family. Gerry was a great guy and he had the most loving family I have ever seen. He will be dearly missed here a Plymouth Place. My prayers go out to the family in your time of need . my God wrap you all in his loving arms and help you through the loss of a wonderful , father, husband , Friend, grandfather. He had a lot of shoes to fill and watching the love and support for him by his family shows he filled thoses shoes very well..Gerry we Love you and miss you.

Where are the great guys like Gerry going to be coming from ....I was very happy to be in the group of women that he called "mop squeezers"......... and coming from Gerry it was not taken badly. Gerry was a super boss, a super friend and a super dancer ......a good guy with high energy and humor and everyone that knew him well, really loved him.
