

Born in Scotland, Gordon immigrated to the United States as a young adult, bringing with him a strong work ethic, deep pride in his heritage, and a quiet determination that defined his life. He built a lasting career as a dedicated member of the Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers in Illinois, where he worked for over 35 years before his retirement.
Gordon was a man of many passions. A lifelong car enthusiast, he took great pride in collecting automobiles, finding joy in the details and the history of each vehicle. He was also a gifted pianist, known for his graceful renditions of classical music. His love of the piano was passed down from his father, a piano teacher, and Gordon carried on that tradition with elegance and skill that moved all who heard him play.
Above all, Gordon will be remembered for his deep love and devotion to his family.
He was the beloved husband of Grace Stirling for 28 beautiful years their bond was one of enduring love and partnership. He was a loving father to Christine (Jeffrey) Bultema, and a proud grandfather to Jeffrey Bultema Jr., Gordon also leaves behind his dear cousin, Grant (Lorna) Cunningham, and many cherished friends.
Those who knew Gordon will remember his quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He lived a life of integrity and grace, and he will be deeply missed.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a prayer service at 10:30 AM. Interment will conclude at Mount Vernon Memorial Estates in Lemont, IL.
