Henry Reeves, a cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on November 8, 1925, in Eufala, Alabama, Henry lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and resilience. He was the beloved son of Clara and Richard Reeves, who have preceded him in death, alongside his sisters Alberta, Hannah, and Eula June, and his brother, Samuel.
A proud veteran, Henry served with honor in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning an honorable discharge. His commitment to his country was paralleled only by his devotion to his family and community.
Henry was first married to Mary Ethel, with whom he shared 46 loving years. Together, they raised their great-granddaughter, Tanya, instilling values of love and strength. After Mary Ethel's passing, Henry found love once more with Eddie M., and they celebrated 24 years of marriage. With Eddie, Henry adopted and lovingly raised Marcel and Devon( Manya)expanding his ever-growing family circle.
Professionally, Henry dedicated his life to maintaining the comfort and safety of others, working as a maintenance worker across various apartment complexes. He concluded his career with a fulfilling tenure at InterParking, where his hard work and commitment were deeply respected.
Even in retirement, Henry's hands were never idle. He found joy in maintaining buildings and fixing cars, a testament to his belief in the value of hard work and perseverance. His practical skills were matched by his ability to fix problems and bring comfort to those around him.
Henry is survived by his devoted wife, Eddie M., and a large, loving family that includes grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. His legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit—a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
