
Irene Marie Shenoha, nee McGrane, breast cancer survivor, died peacefully on August 30, 2010. She was born on March 3, 1928 to Frank V. and Charlotte nee Blaha McGrane. Irene was the devoted wife of Charles Shenoha for 49 years. She was the loving sister of Colette M. (Robert) Winicki. Fond aunt of Colette (James) Askins, Barbara Winicki, Robert (Deborah) Winicki, Suzanne (William) Kushnerik and Peter Winicki; great aunt of Christian Winicki, Thomas Askins, Nicklas Kushnerik and Michael Kushnerik. Irene was a graduate of Visitation High School and the American Academy of Art, both in Chicago. She was a long-time employee of Marshall Fields & Co., State Street and a member of St. Thomas More Parish for more than 40 years. Irene made use of her artistic talents in her cross-stitching, sewing and making gifts for her nieces and nephews and others. Irene loved her family, travel and popcorn. Her graceful and gentle presence will be missed greatly. The family would like to thank caregiver, Irena, for all that she has done.
