It has been two weeks since we lost you, and I still cannot wrap my mind around the fact that you are gone. I don’t know what to say to you except that I am sorry that we did not have more conversations, I am sorry that we were living miles apart and I am sorry that I did not make more of an effort to keep in touch with you. I hope you know how much I loved you, because I know how very much you loved me. In fact, you loved your entire family with your whole heart. You were one of the kindest, most gentle souls on this earth. Losing you has been a wake up call for me, a reminder of how important it is to stay close to your family. Life happens, and we all get busy, and that is a great excuse that we use for not reaching out more, but it is really just an excuse. We all need to start taking more time for our families, and I hope that I can be a better person and a better sister to our siblings. I know that you are at peace and that you are surrounded by all of our loved ones in heaven, most importantly, Mom and Dad. Until we meet again, brother, please watch over all of us. I will love and miss you forever.🙏🏻❤️

My heartfelt condolences to all of Jim's loved ones. I used to wait on Jim at Papa Joe's restaurant and we became quite friendly. I am a devout Catholic and Jim seemed drawn to thinking about God and getting to know Him thru prayer. Our talks were deep and memorable. I also got to meet Marra for whom Jim cared very much. I pray that in your sorrow you will come close to Christ and know the depths of His love for you. Be assured of my prsyers fir Jim and for all of you as you grieve his loss. God bless you.

I'll always remember Uncle Jimmy for his kindness and the way he genuinely took an interest in the little things going on in our lives. No matter how old I got he always called on my birthday. When I had children of my own he remembered theirs too. It was such a simple thing but those calls reminded me that he thought of us and cared enough to keep showing up in those little ways year after year.
I'll miss our conversations about nature and moving out to the country. He would always ask if I had seen any cool birds lately. I remember telling him about a bald eagle nest near my house, and after that, he never forgot about it. Every time we talked he would ask me how the eagle was doing. Birthdays will be a little quieter without his calls, and I know that whenever I see a bald eagle, I'll think of him for the rest of my life.

Jim, there are no words big enough to describe  what you meant to me, or how much I love you. You were not only my brother, but you were my best friend. You were someone I could count on, someone who was always there for me. You would do absolutely anything for me, and you did. That wasn't just the way you were with me, that was who you were with anyone. Jim had a heart that was bigger than most people will ever know. If someone needed him, he was there. He gave without expecting anything in return. That's his big heart.  He cared deeply and had a way of making people around him feel like they mattered. I will always treasure the time we had together, our twice weekly talks on the phone, sometimes lasting hours. The conversations, the laughter, the memories and just ordinary moments that I never realized would one day be some of the most precious things I have. I would go up to my bedroom, close the door, sit in my chair, bring a big bottle of water, and call my brother. That chair will never be the same. When I think of my brother, I don't want to think only about the day I lost him, I want to think about the life he gave me by being my brother. I want to remember his smile, that handsome smile, his heart, his kindness, his strength, his love for his family, and his magnificent brain. He was the smartest man I knew. You could ask him anything about life things, world events, politics, how to fix something, you knew who to call, my brother. I am going to miss him in more ways than I can ever explain. I will miss being able to call him, and I will miss his voice. Losing my brother feels like losing a part of myself, because he was a part of me. But I know that the love we shared doesn't end here. That love will stay with me for the rest of my life. God made us siblings for a reason. Thank you Jim for being the best brother and uncle to my daughter. My brother, I love you and so grateful to be your little sister. Until we meet again, fly high with Mom and Dad.

So sorry for the entire family to hear of James’ death.  He was a great support to Jeri, Maureen and their children.  RIP James.
