Late expressing my condolences to you upon the death of your son.   I am a former teacher at the high school where your son graduated from.
I am contacting you to see if we could establish a scholarship fund in his name for graduating seniors.  We have had a fund for the past three years in honor of a soldier killed in Afghanistan in 2009.
We are not asking for funds from you—just permission to establish the fund.  We will get the funding from his former classmates and teachers

Mr Pelt died a HERO and was HONORED as a HERO today.  Your send off is something I will never forget because you were THE BEST. You made 49 years of memories that we now will treasure the rest of our lives. REST IN PEACE OUR BRAVE HERO.

I didn’t know Jermaine, but he sure sounds like a great guy. The difficult work of firefighters is so much appreciated and so admirable. Putting yourself in harms way for the protection and safety of others says a lot about a persons character. Thinking and praying for Jermaine’s family and fellow firefighters in this difficult time.

Thoughts and prayers to the entire Pelt family.  I did not know Jermaine, however, as I sit here watching the televised funeral service for this brave young man my heart breaks for all of his family and friends.  Truly a HERO.  God Bless.

My heart aches for Mr. J. Pelt.  Never. Have met him, but I know that feeling when my husband passed.  Faith in the lord, all your good memories, and family, friends,  and the whole fire fighters will help  you in the time your time of grief.  Such wonderful praise you all raised a wonderful son, he would be someone I  would like to have called a friend. R.I. P.

I am saddened for this loss of my dear friend...My condolences to his family ..I want to share he would always tell me to choose my own battles when I would complain..I was blessed to have known him..May he rest in heaven.
