I’ve heard a lot of people talk about how much they love soccer. Chuyin was one of the few that didn’t have to. I’m so glad I got to play and win championships for him. He would always tell me I played very well after every game, even when I didn’t. He couldn’t hide how proud he was of Jalisco, and that he had all of us playing for him. This last championship means so much more to us now. I’ll never forget how happy he was. That little tree at the Marquette turf field will never look the same, even though I’m sure he will probably leave heaven for a couple hours to watch us play. Rest In Peace chuyin, you will be missed! 

Siento mucho por el dolor por el que están pasando por la reciente pérdida de su ser querido.  Por eso les escribo para que sepan que la Biblia da esperanza. A mí me han consolado mucho las palabras de la escritura de Juan 11:35-Jesús le dijo: “Yo soy la resurrección y la vida. El que ejerce fe en mí, aunque muera, llegará a vivirán”.
Que maravillosa esperanza el saber que podrán disfrutar de estar con Jesús otra vez. Tengan la seguridad de que Dios así lo hará.

Siento mucho la situación por la que deben estar pasando la familia de Don Jesus. La pérdida de un ser querido siempre es muy difícil. Solamente quería compartir un pensamiento que por lo menos me ha dado mucho consuelo. Se encuentra en Juan 5:28,29 donde Dios nos asegura que vendrá el día en que volvamos a ver a nuestros seres queridos. Espero que esta escritura le pueda servir de consuelo.

Being able to look back on memories of my grandfather will always have a special place in my heart. Our memories together took place early mornings on the weekends. The simple task of putting up nets together was our way of bonding. He was always able to captivate my mind with the way he carried himself and how people loved basking in his presence. There wouldn't be a field he went on that no one knew who he was and had to stop him to conversate with him. I know he is in a better place, and his friends and family will sorely miss him. May he rest in peace and know that he was loved. I love you Pa.

My best memory with pa is going to the corner mariscos restaurant and having lunch with him. Having one on one conversations with him really showed me two things, his sense of humor and charisma he possessed. An attribute admired by his friends and family.  And how much of a caring grandfather he was.

My fondest memory of my uncle was when I was 15. His love for his family, his selflessness and the extremes he would go through just to bring a smile to ones face and happiness to your heart. My parents had not planned on celebrating my birthday but, he along with our soccer team made it possible. They came together and organized my surprise Quince. He and the CLASA board members made it possible for me to have my reception at the CLASA office. It was so much fun and it will be a memory I'll never forget and will always cherish. It was the most enjoyable time and my parents were very appreciative for him opening up their office for my Quince. He loved to dance and he always saved one dance for me from that day forward throughout my life. My last dance around the dance floor with him was February of 2000 at the CLASA dance. I love you and I'll miss you. Thank you for all your amazing stories. Even now I see you dancing around the dance floor. Rest In Peace.

Pa was always very warm, welcoming, always had a smile and a funny story or joke to share. My best memories were the summers we spent in Chicago- him treating us to Mariscos, going to the park on Sundays for soccer, but  more importantly enjoying each other’s company and talking about his childhood and life in Chicago were the best moments. It’s the little things in life that matter most and I am so grateful I was able to spend quality time with him.  I will always admire his sense of humor, his impact to the soccer community, his liveliness (always up for dancing and a great party) and strength and love for his family! May you rest in eternal peace. I love you.  You will truly be missed❤️
