Joan Kapsimalis, 81, passed away on April 7. Beloved wife of the late Peter C. Kapsimalis. Loving mother of Christine and Katherine (Anthony) Kavouris. Cherished grandmother of John, Peter and Kate. She was known to put her family first. She had a generous spirit and all she touched benefited from her wisdom and love of life. She was known as the family historian. Joan retired from the University of Illinois and was secretary to the Dean of the College of Nursing.
