Joanne Philopulos, age 94, of Oak Lawn, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Beloved wife of 60 years the late Steve Philopulos; Loving mother of Amelie (Nick) Pappalas, Evneke (Kenneth) Pesavento and Andrew Philopulos; Adoring Yiayia of Heidi Pappalas and Leo (Vivian) Pappalas; great-grandma of Luke Pappalas, Daniel Pappalas, Leo Pappalas, and the late Anthony Pappalas; dear sister of Soula (the late Tom) Gio, Tessie (the late Spiro) Davos, the late Gregory Tzamalouka, the late Tony (the late Kathy) Tzamalouka, the late Christina (the late Dimitri) Moraitis, the late Mary (the late Taki) Doxi; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Joanne was an amazing cook and loved spending time with her family. May her memory be eternal.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 13th, 2025 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church beginning at 9:00 am until the start of the funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
