John Cregan

John Joseph Cregan, son of Mary and John Cregan. Born in Limerick, Ireland on April 3, 1938 and died on November 14, 2025. Beloved husband for 61 years of late Mary Ellen, son Michael, daughter Kathleen (Sean) Hanley, and proud grandfather of Conor, Brigid (Bridie), and Meghan. Dear brother-in-law to late Margaret (Peggy), late Donald Feltz and Kathleen (Kay), late Roger Pona. Uncle of many nieces and nephews and loving cousin of Maureen Fitzgerald from Dingle, Ireland. John was a passionate officer for the Chicago Police Department, serving for 27 years. He took much pride in his Irish roots: listening to Irish hour every Saturday, frequenting Gaelic Park, and attending Milwaukee Irish Fest for 25 years.

A visitation will take place on Wednesdsay, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00pm at St. Gianna Church, 10233 S Central Park Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805, interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
