John J. Stasiuk, 63, of Lynwood, IL, dearly beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Johnny was born in Chicago, IL on July 13, 1963 to Margaret Della (nee Michalik) and John Thomas Stasiuk. He attended Hanover Central High School before following in his father’s footsteps into the electrician trade. Johnny was a devoted ‘A’ card journeyman with Sharlen Electric Company and proud member of IBEW Local 134 for 31 years. Johnny’s work was his pride and joy, and he was often heard musing, “What the fools don’t know is, I would do this for free!”.
Johnny was fierce in the commitment to honor the request of his mother when she asked him to always take care of his sisters.
Johnny was the life of the party, his personality and sense of humor lit up any occasion and everyone gravitated to him. This was magnified most when he was with his siblings.
When he wasn’t at work, he could be found at “Therapy” amongst his friends. A place he loved and spoke of often.
Preceded in death by his parents; Johnny is survived and deeply mourned by sisters Laurrie LaSasso, Susan Gomez, Joy (Scott) Howard; brother Michael J. Stasiuk; cousins Janice (Johnny) Tazbir, Elizabeth (Kurt) Baer, and Joseph Pavlik; nephews Michael, Joseph, and Timothy LaSasso, Trace Howard, Michael A. Stasiuk, and Benjamin Gomez; nieces Christine (Benjamin) Adamitus, Elise and Victoria LaSasso, Natalie (Jacob) Stasiuk-Frencl, Faith Howard, Michaela Gomez, and Kayla Corcoran; great-nephews Atlas Lightfoot, and Nathaniel Frencl; great-nieces Brianna (Evan) LeMahieu, Mila Trombitas, and Julia LaSasso.
