John Turner

Loving husband of Darlyne Turner (nee Norris) of 52 years, devoted father of Patty and Susan Turner, and cherished Papa of Leah. He was the loving brother-in-law of Patricia (Robert) Krusza and Ronald (Lauri) Norris, and a proud uncle to Paul Crachy, Susie Buckley, Mark Crachy, Robert Turner, Kelly (Lee) Lieser, and Lee Turner. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Turner, and his brother, Robert (Mary) Turner and niece Tammy Turner.

A man of deep faith, John was actively involved in his church community, where he formed lasting friendships wherever he went. His granddaughter, Leah, was the light of his life; they shared a special bond, spending countless hours together and being the best of friends.

A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A funeral service will begin on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church of Oak Lawn, 10000 Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home & Cemetery, 11333 S Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
