Joseph Samuel Scardino, age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Beloved father of Jolene (David) Austin, Lauren Scardino, Joseph (Jessica) Scardino and Lisamarie (John) Burke; proud Papa of Taylor, Nicholas, Riley, David, Austin, Jack, Connor and Baby Girl Scardino; loving son of the late Joseph and Josephine Scardino; brother, uncle and great uncle.
Joseph proudly served as a Chicago Police Officer for over 20 years and was the owner of Scardino Electric. While he took great pride in his work, his greatest source of joy was his family. He loved his children and doted on his grandchildren.
Joseph will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., La Grange on Friday, August 7th, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church.
