Joseph Steven Tucker

Joseph Steven Tucker passed away on January 22nd, 2024. Beloved husband of 42 years to Carol (nee Coughennower) and loving father of Daniel and Nicole Tucker; Brother of Ron (Denise) Tucker; Uncle of Renee and Ronnie. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Betty Tucker.

Joseph retired as the receiving manager for (Fulton Market) Hasak Cold Storage where he worked for over 35 years. He enjoyed the relationships and contacts he made during his time there with trucking companies, local restaurants and specialty cuisine/seafood purveyors.

In his early years he was active in baseball, then bowling. He especially loved fishing in Pelican Lake, Orr, Minnesota for over 50 years. He fished for all types of fish and particularly during the magic hour of 9-10pm when the sun was just setting and the fish were biting (as well as the mosquitos). He was an avid gardener, known for sharing his fruits and vegetables throughout the season with family, friends and neighbors.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Joseph that will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 beginning at 10:00 am until 1:00pm with a prayer service to immediately follow at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
