

Kathleen Ann Wrona, aged 72, native of Chicago, lived on the Southside and retired in Florida. Kathleen devoted 20 years of service to the Chicago Police Department working as a crossing guard, then as a Traffic Aide. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 7, 2023. Beloved wife of the late James Wrona; Loving mother of Ann (Kristopher) Jaros and James (Angela) Wrona; Devoted grandmother of William, Genevieve, Sophie, Sonja, Stella, Secilia and Jimmy; Dear sister of Anthony Harty, Patrick (Andrea) Harty, Helen (Kevin) Bohlig and John (Susan) Harty; Cherished companion of the late James Zurawik.
Kathleen enjoyed spending her free time doing ceramics, cooking, baking, crocheting, traveling, camping, riding roller coasters and was also a motorcycle enthusiast, and a die hard Chicago Bears fan. She loved the outdoors and spending time with others. She had a zest for life and loved to laugh. Kathleen was a loving, generous, welcoming and caring woman to her family and many friends.
A visitation will be held for Kathleen on Sunday April 16th, 2023 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Blake- Lamb Funeral Home 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn. Followed by a morning prayer service beginning at 10:00am, where we will go in procession for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Christina Catholic Church beginning at 11:30am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL
