Kimberly J. McArthur

Kim was the beloved daughter of the late Wayne and Barbara (Rodgers) McArthur and the loving sister to Craig McArthur. One of Kim’s greatest treasures was family and friends. Kim was a loving mother to Brittany (Joe) Medley, Stefanie Medley, and Tyler Medley. Cherished aunt of Tiffany Walsh, Jennie Pentimone, Nicholas McArthur, and Alexandra Soltis. Great aunt to Kylie, Nellie, Remedy, and Harlan. Friend to Myra Pacelli, Nancy Wesolowski, Debbie Strang, Caryn Romano, and Jim Nemetz. Among those she leaves behind is Barb Kane, who was more than a friend, truly like a sister. Together they shared many years of memories, laughter, and companionship. Their friendship was a treasured part of her life.

Kim was passionate about family, friends, and her career.

For more than 40 years, Kim was a dedicated nurse at Palos Community Hospital where she touched countless lives with her care and compassion. She delivered hundreds of babies and comforted parents through some of life’s most tender moments. Her lifelong commitment to caring for others was truly a gift to all that knew her.

While Kim was devoted to her professional life, her heart was always centered on her family and friends. Her home was a place of laughter, warmth, and open arms.

Above all, Kim’s greatest joy and pride were the children she helped nurture, guide, and cared for. While not their mother by blood, Kim was one in every other way that mattered. She embraced them with genuine love.

Kim had a gift for bringing people together. Her backyard and pool became a favorite gathering place where countless memories were made. She created an atmosphere of belonging for everyone that was fortunate to know her.

A celebration of Kim’s life is planned for early 2026, when family and friends can come together to remember and share stories.
