To the entire Fron family, I just learned of Leo’s passing and I am so sorry for your loss. My best memory’s of Leo was when we had our traditional weekend football game at Nabisco on 77th and Kedzie. At the time I lived on 78th and Homan and he lived on 77th corner of Spaulding and we chose sides according to where we lived. THANK GOD I was on his team because I didn’t have to get hit by that stud!! Also I was at his 1980 New Year’s Eve party and he made sure I was ok before I went home !! ALWAYS THE BIG BROTHER to everyone. The best neighborhood friend I would ever have grown up with. I know he is sitting with GOD  right now watching over all his LOVE ONES. 🙏👍

I am sorry for your loss.  I know that Leo was a great person and he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of being in Leo's company on several ocassions.   He was always friendly,  kind, humorous and I always felt that I was  received with a warm heartfelt welcome.  
I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend his wake and services, but, know that I will be with you in spirit.
You have my sincere condolences and I will keep you close in my thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks.

When I first met your lovely daughter Trish, I immediately knew that she would bring much happiness to my son.  But, never, in my wildest dreams, could I have known how much more love and happiness this union would bring to me and my family.  

First there was Trish, then the two of you.  Then your son Leo and your friends and extended family.  And now we have our beautiful grandsons.  Now you are all part of my family.  Your kindness, love, and friendship extend to many people and has enhanced my life in many ways. You will always be an integral part of my family.

Lyn, Leo will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Take comfort in your memories and surround yourself with the love and support of all your family and friends. We are here to help you remember the good times and look forward and share what is still to come.

My friend LEO! 1st day I met him he lit up the room with his big bright smile and huge loud laugh. At 19+ he showed me what is was like to be treated by a true gentlemen. As you know we dated platonically until that day I talked you into coming out with me. Leo had no idea you were coming that night. 
I told you he was "too. short" for me (I was a big girl) and he was rich. He may have drove a big beautiful car, be a very nice dresser and so charismatic. But what I was really saying...LEO. was rich in his LOVE for us and all who came in contact by him.
He always took special time out to say hello to his Kar-Kar. I'll always treasure our decades of memories. Love you my sister!

With a heavy heart I send my love to Lyn, Trish, Leo, their family and the many others who felt like family to Mr Fron. I am so sorry to hear this. Leo was one of the finest people I ever knew. He was THE most generous soul I ever knew and I will be forever blessed for having had known him. May he Rest In Peace reunited with his parents at the right hand of God!

Weekends at the Fron’s house in high school helped a lot of kiddos turn into the people they are today. How lucky we were to be influenced by such a loving, accepting, nurturing and fun-loving family. Mr. Fron was so dedicated and absolutely in love with his family, and he extended that love and kindness to everyone who was lucky enough to be in the Fron orbit.

Mr. Fron was so proud when Trish and I were going to Loyola University together, he made us feel like the smartest women in the world. You never met someone so supportive and enthusiastic about the things he knew we were capable of, and it shone through his face with that big, old grin. He did the cutest things to make sure that Trish and I were safe and happy while venturing out into the world. I can still picture how excited he was for us while we were setting up our tiny little dorm room together.

I will always hold onto the great memories and pure joy that we all experienced together over the years. Lyn, Trish, Leo and everyone who’s hearts are heavy – we can lean on one another and love each other to get through this, just like the Frons taught us.
I love you all so much and am so grateful. 

 



Leo was a dear friend to my brother, Tom.  He was a guest at my wedding in 1975. I couldn’t afford a white floor runner for the aisle at St. Denis Church in Chicago.  Surprise! Leo and his father provided the beautiful runner for the ceremony! Leo had a zest for life and a fantastic smile! Godspeed to heaven!

I have known Leo since we were all in grammar school (St Denis). He was, and remained throughout his life, my brother Tom’s best friend.  What a great guy. We had so many laughs together, especially when Tom and I moved into a small apartment in Chicago and Leo was a frequent visitor. Leo had such a beautiful smile and his laugh was contagious.  He loved people and they loved him in return. He was always upbeat - not a mean word about anyone.  He will be greatly missed by my family and me. Our deepest condolences to Lynn, Patricia and Leo III. 

It is never goodbye old friend,  for we will see each other again. The next time we meet and share  a moment we will be free of life's burdens and free of all pain for we will be sharing a space in the house of the Lord for ever and ever.. 
I will always remember your kindness your smile and your devotion. These are  the things you shared with all of us.  I will keep these memories with me and treasure them always. 
May God bless the Fron family keep them safe and guide them during this difficult time. 🙏

Dear Lyn, Trish, Leo and family,

    The recurring theme, sentiments are the memories of Leo’s legendary, warm and welcoming smile (from ear to ear) upon meeting up with him… whether  in Home Depot or at the house!
      Shirley said it best! “ When  I looked at his photo, I smiled! 
     “ Virtually everyone I have shared the sad news with, has reflected on Leo’s smile and hearty, uplifting greetings.
       If you were to look up positive mental attitude in the dictionary, you would find Leo‘s smiling face by the definition.
        Leo’s crowning achievement in life was to marry Lyn, whom he adored every day of his life, and together raising such beautiful, loving, caring children of great character.
        Whenever Leo and I had a heart to heart talk, his boundless love, pride and respect for his wife and children was abundantly evident in both his sincere words and in the expression on his face.
          If the success of a man is measured in terms of his affect/influence on his family and loved ones… Leo was the Jeff Bezos of unconditional love, support and pride. He Walked the Talk !!

I’ve known the Fron family since Freshman year in high school.  No matter how many years had passed since we last saw each other, Mr. Fron would always greet me with open arms, a coy, sideways grin, and a long, warm “Kaaatthrynnn”.  In high school, the family would try to keep me quiet while Mr. Fron slept because he had to work in the evenings. I don’t think he slept well the nights I slept over! Haha, poor guy. When we started growing up, getting established and having our own children, you knew how incredibly proud he was of Trish and Leo and all of their friends.  I will deeply treasure all of the memories at the Fron house with my best friends and their family.  So many people love and cherish this beautiful family and will be there to support them through this unimaginable loss. Love you all more than I can ever express.

We became friends in  1989 when we moved in nextdoor and shortly after that became extended family.  Better  neighborhoods could not be found. We have cherished the friendship we shared and will greatly miss Leo.
When I look at his picture I smile, what a gift that is.

He was possessed of a very unique and engaging personality which put all at ease. He had a lively retort to irrelevant issues which made him very human and likable. Leo always brightened every party or event he was part of. Our prayers for the repose of his soul.
