Linda Yvonne Black-Chilton, age 69, of Chicago, was called home on December 5, 2021. Loving wife of the late Warren R. Chilton; Beloved mother of LaTonya (McCoy) Black and Jeramie Chilton; Cherished grandma of Eric and Poetre; Dear sister of Louise Carter, Margaret (Dewey) Day, and Benjamin Brooks; Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Linda spent her professional career owning and operating one of the few African American female independently owned Amoco Stations, specifically on 71st and Halsted. She spent the remainder of her life reaching out and helping others in numerous ways, touching so many in her lifetime. She will be remembered and missed by many.
Memorial Visitation for Linda is planned for Sunday, December 19, from 2-4 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd, Oak Lawn, where a Memorial Service will then take place at 4 PM. Interment private.
