Loretta “Ginger” Cleary (Groebe), age 82, passed away peacefully at home at Franciscan Village on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Formerly of 9620 South Komensky Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Malzone; her beloved husband, Gordon Groebe; and many dear family members and friends who she held close to her heart. She is survived by her brother, Paul (Pepper); her cherished nieces and nephews and their families; her stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her, and her memory will remain a lasting blessing to her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
Morning prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady at St. Germaine Catholic Church, 9711 S. Kolin Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
