Luke E. Ballo

Luke E. Ballo, age 88, of Palos Heights, Illinois passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022. Luke was born August 27, 1933. Loving husband of Mary Kay (nee Martensen); Beloved father of Cynthia (Dennis) Yeider and Christopher Ballo; Grandfather of Samantha (Tim) Hulley, Lindsey (Matt) Wosik, and Alexandra Yeider; Great-grandfather of Otter, Laurel, and Fox Wosik; Dear brother of Dorothy (the late Max) Ranft, The late Mike (survived by Teri) Ballo, Frank Ballo, and the late Gertie (survived by Joe) Fabach; brother-in-law to James (Maureen) Martensen.

Luke worked with Chicago Police Department for over 30 years, and then went on to work with the Cook County Sheriff's Department as an investigator for over 20 years. Luke proudly served his country when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Reserves and then later active duty in the United States Army.

A visitation for Luke will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A chapel service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 beginning at 10:00am at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip, IL 60803.
