Mara Subasic

Beloved wife of 64 years to Marko Subasic. Loving mother of Ankica “Ann” Mihalovich, and the late Diane Bukiri, Vera Subasic, and Darlene Subasic. Cherished grandmother of Jaime Mihalovich (Thomas Finnen, Jr.), Robert Subasic, and Marko Subasic. Proud great-grandmother of Liljana Mihalovich, Alivia Subasic, and Amelia Subasic; dear sister of Jele (the late Mirko) Znahor, Slavica (Dragan) Frljic, Nikica (Radojka) Ruzic and the late Mijo (Ljilja) Ruzic. Mara loved to cook especially for her family whom she loved dearly and tend to her gardens. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. Funeral Friday, September 5, 2025 prayers from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Christina Church, 3342 W. 111th St., Chicago, IL. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
