Marian was born on December 6, 1940, to her parents Lena Divers (Lewis) and Ralph Watts at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Marian retired from the Art Institute, where she worked as a Lead Café Manager. Marian believed in staying active and she was involved in many organizations, such as participating in The Little Brothers Chicago Chapter. Marian was passionate about her faith. As a loyal member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, she was often seen for Sunday Service. She was also a proud of her achievements and contributions as the former President of Resident Affairs at the Chatham Park senior building she resided.
Marian lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence with her colorful clothes, beautiful hair, manicured nails, creative fashion choices, and welcoming personality. She loved her friends and family and filled her home with good food, ice water, music, warmth, and kindness. We would like her celebration of life to be full of vibrancy, color, and joyful music.
She is survived by her three sons Robert (Samantha) Young, Marcus (Tamar) Burnett and Jermaine (Belinda) Young; grandchildren Tanauchea (Shauwn), Robert Jr. (Syn), Marcus Jr., Jeremy (Amanda), Kiarra, Janae, Zoe, Joslyn, Deja, Jared, Jacoby and Brooklyn; and great grandchildren Keon, Kylen, Luna, Kameron, De'ann, Elijah, Winter, Kehlani, and Kensier.
