Sad news. My condolences on the loss of your Mother.  I just found out she died.  She has found peace with God.

I am soo very sorry for your loss.  I only knew your mom Bob for a short time but she made a lasting impression on me.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

id like to share with everyone a few memories with my yiayia 
she loved to swim, she even taught me how to float 
she was the best floater anyone could ever meet and she taught me how to float on my back.. at first i was scared to but she told me to hold my arms out and trust her so i did 
as everyone knows i love to ice skate, yiayia was my biggest supporter and she would come to my shows and competitions and whenever skating was on tv we would sit down and watch it together
on the actual date of my golden brithday my mom and dad had to be with the mayor so yiayia and i had the best time ever. she made my golden birthday really special.
she loved to cook, but the past few years she couldnt, so she became the teacher and my mom and i became her students.
when i would come home from school yiayia would always ask me if i had homework. my response would be , "ya yiayia i do but can i have a snack first and take a break?"
my yiayia loved english and literature so if i ever had a ? about proper english i knew that i could always reciever an answer from her .
i swear she knew the dictionary like it was the back of her hand, she was so intelligent .
even when my yiayia didnt want to smile or was having a bad day i would always ask her hows your day going yiayia? she'd say "ETSY KETSY"
ya know i wish i would have asked her what the difinition of etsy ketsy ment!!!
she was a die hard sports fan for the blackhawks the bears and the white sox 
but when it came to the cubs ... she'd rather pick up a good novel then watch them play!!!!! lol 
i know she was "my yiayia" but whenever i would have friends over, they would call her yiayia as well !!well , i can only hope that one day i can be as smart kind loving and caring as my yiayia was ! <3
