Mary J. Bliss (nee McHugh) beloved daughter of the late John and the late Dorothy McHugh (nee Nelis). Dear wife of the late Arthur N. Bliss, Korean War Veteran and Village of Evergreen Park Trustee. Loving mother of John A. Bliss, and Michael F. Bliss (late Heather). Cherished grandmother of Theresa, Brittanie, Michael Jr., Emily, Lindsie, and Julianna. Dear sister of the late: Ellen (late Larry) Fey, John, Tom, Catherine, and Dorothy (late James) Connors. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a proud resident of Evergreen Park for over 60 years. She was actively involved in her community and a proud United States Marine "Mom". She battled cancer with unwavering courage and conviction. Mary was a dedicated parishioner of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for over 50 years. She was a loving mother of two and enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren. She also loved sewing handmade quilts for her friends and family, gardening, reading a good book, and playing a challenging game of Scrabble.
A memorial mass for Mary will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9525 Lawndale Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. Saturday January 2, 2021 at 10:30A.M.
