My Mom Sandra Anderson worked with Melva for a number of years at the Cook County Clerks Office. I worked in another department within the County in the same building so needless to say we all spent a lot of time together. Melva always greeted me with a warm smile and a kind word. I remember her bringing very creative decorations to work on holidays and special events. Melva was quite Jazzy in her appearance. She reminded me of my own Grandma who loved to dress-up every now and then. I wish those times could live on forever, but I will carry them in my heart forever. Melva you will be sorely missed but I promise to keep your memories and precepts in my heart for as long as live!

Family, we were blessed to have such a treasure and though our hearts are heavy. We can rejoice in the thought that she is living in eternal peace and happiness with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.. My Thoughts and Prayers are with you!!
I Love you Melva!!!!

Your God Son,
Cornell

My sincere condolences to the beloved family of Melva. She was a dear friend , co-worker and Colleague.
We worked together at The criminal courthouse at 26th and California, in the Bond Department, where I was her manager.
I could always count on Melva to get the job done, even when I was not there. She was an early arrival, and very diligent about getting those bonds processed, especially for the Attorneys.
She was always a class act and a sharp dresser, and rivaled most ladies, even the youngsters.
She could be serious , but had a great sense of humor. We always had a chuckle or two during the course of the day.
I will always cherish our time together. We were a great team, as well as great friends. Rest well my friend.
Love Sandy

Melva was a wonderful girlfriend to my mom Aldona and me. She always had a smile and kind words to say. We loved our time together, having lunch, shopping and sharing tips as women. Melva had style and beauty , inside and out. Her devotion to her family was amazing and unwavering. We will miss her beautiful spirit and keep her in our hearts forever. Love, Aldona and Diana
