Michael J. McGinty

Michael J. McGinty, of Chicago, Illinois passed away surrounded by his family on February 15th, 2024 at the age of 72. Beloved Husband of Sharon, nee Vogt, for a loving 37 years. Loving Father of Daniel (Julie) McCarthy, Eric (Shari) Alt, and Michael (Maggie) McGinty. Cherished Grandfather of Erika McCarthy, Stephanie McCarthy, Logan Alt, Madison Alt, and Aaron John McCarthy. Dear Brother of Patricia McGinty, Bridget (Bruce) DiDominicis, and the late Timothy J. (Pam) McGinty; and Brother-in-Law to Denise Deering and Joyce (Kevin) Augle. Fond Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Michael was a proud member of Local 597 Pipefitters for 47 years, 20 of which were served with the City of Chicago Water Department.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Michael that will held on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois, 60453. Funeral to follow on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 at 8:30am at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, proceeding to St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 10200 South Washtenaw, Chicago, Illinois 60655 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association in Michael's name would be appreciated.
