Michael Lawrence Schifferdecker

Beloved son of the late Robert and the late Marianna Schifferdecker. Michael was a loving father to Michael (Tracey) and Justin. He was the dear brother of Joseph (Maureen) Schifferdecker, a fond uncle to Kristin (Anthony) Whitehurst, and a proud great-uncle to Archer, Victor, Theodore, and Auralys. His family and loved ones will forever remember the warmth of his presence and the sincerity of his heart.

For ten years, Michael worked as a Quotations Specialist with City Electric Supply, where he was respected for his dedication, kindness, and genuine camaraderie. A true Chicago sports fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.

Michael was also a gifted actor who brought joy to many through his performances in productions at the Irish American Heritage Center. A graduate of the Brother Rice High School Class of 1976, he carried the friendships and memories from those years throughout his life.

Above all, Michael treasured time spent with his sons. His gentle humor, generosity, and unwavering love will continue to echo in the lives of all who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished always.

A memorial visitation and service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
