Miguel Angel Garcia

Miguel A. Garcia, of Homer Glen, Illinois, passed away on August 26th 2019 in Concord, California.
Miguel was born in Blue Island, Illinois to Romelia and Domingo Garcia on August 4th 1959. He attended Pullman Elementary School in Chicago. He worked in service and sales in the TV and electronics business for over 40 years, including ownership of Mike’s TV in Glenwood, Illinois for over 10 years. He was a donor and volunteer with the Illinois Chapter of the Special Olympics and donated and volunteered with several charitable causes. He was a long-time member of the Glenwood, Illinois Business Council. He was also a long-time parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He regularly provided free TV repair service to many of his long-time senior citizen customers in the south suburbs and south side of Chicago. Most importantly, for the past 25 years he was one of the primary caretakers for his parents.
Miguel is survived by his sister Luz Maria Gonzalez, his brothers, Domingo Jr., Armando and Manuel de Jesus Garcia, his father Domingo Garcia and his mother Romelia Garcia. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews; Lizette Juan, Pilar Gonzalez, Amanda Garcia, Alex Griffin, Armando Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Amarissa Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Samuel Garcia, Luke Garcia, Christian Garcia and Chloe Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Domingo Garcia Jr., Armando Garcia, Manuel de Jesus Garcia, Jose de Jesus Fragoso, Ruben Herrera and Luis Juan.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6th at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 7th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 11533 S. Prairie Avenue, Chicago with Rev. Mark Krylowicz of St. Anthony’s Church officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetary in Alsip, Illinois.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
