Patrick David Saieh

Patrick was born on April 26, 1955 to David Michel and Marcelle Saieh in Saint Marc, Haiti. After he immigrated to the United States, Patrick went on to study Mechanical Engineering at University of Illinois at Chicago.

After graduating with a degree in Thermomechanical Engineering, he started his professional career at the US EPA as an Environmental Engineer in the underground injection control section, kickstarting a 27-year career with the Environmental Protection Agency. In 1981, Patrick met Gina on UIC campus and later married on April 26, 1986. Patrick and Gina went on to have two children, Patrick Marcel and David Michel. Patrick retired from US EPA in 2014.

Patrick’s hobbies included: Gardening, Coin Collecting, and he also bred Red Factor Canaries.

Patrick was predeceased by his parents David Michel and Marcelle Saieh.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Gina M. Saieh, beloved sons Patrick Marcel Saieh and David Michel Saieh; dear siblings, Marie Rose (late Hugo) Theodule, Robert Saieh, Lucienne (Edgar) Ledan, Cecil (Levi) Compas, Yannick Saieh, David (Sabine) Saieh and Mona (Donald Petersen) Saieh.

Visitation services will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd. Ave, Oak Lawn, IL on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 9343 S. Francisco Ave., Evergreen Park, IL. A private entombment will be held by the family at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
