Richard J Kobylarczyk

Rick was the beloved husband of Cindy Kobylarczyk, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years of marriage. He was a cherished father to Melissa (Jim Nolan) and Krystal Kobylarczyk (Wes), and a loving grandfather to Aurora, Nora, and James. He is also survived by his siblings, Dan, Joann Darmofal, and Denis (Kathy) Kobylarczyk, and his sister-in-law, Christine Koerber. Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Kobylarczyk, mother-in-law Gertrude and his brother, Phil Kobylarczyk.

A devoted sports fan, Rick rarely missed an opportunity to watch his beloved Chicago Bears. Some of his happiest moments were spent discussing games, players, and seasons with his grandson, sharing a bond built on their love of football. He was also a loyal Chicago White Sox fan, while Cindy faithfully cheered for the Chicago Cubs. Their friendly rivalry brought years of playful banter, especially during baseball season, and became a cherished part of their life together.

When he wasn't watching sports, Rick enjoyed relaxing with a good word search puzzle, always eager to find the next hidden word. He also had a special place in his heart for cats and shared his home with several feline companions over the years. He loved and cared for them deeply, and they brought him great comfort and companionship.

Rick will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his sense of humor, and the simple joys he found in everyday life. His love, kindness, and the memories he created with those around him will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Linus Parish, 10300 S. Lawler Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. Services will conclude following the Mass.
