Richard J Rudolph

Richard was the beloved husband of the late Carol Rudolph (née Domino). He was the loving father of Laura (Kristian) Bivona and Jennifer Rudolph, and the cherished grandpa of Amanda (Sammy) Baldassano, Liam Bivona, and Lily Bivona. He was also the proud and excited expected great-grandfather of his first great-grandchild.

He was the dear brother of Leslie Drew, Claire (Bruce) Brennan, and Mark (Janice) Rudolph, and a beloved uncle to many nephews. Richard was the devoted and loving companion of Diane Giglio, with whom he shared a wonderful and loving relationship for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Al and Virginia Rudolph.

Richard lived a life defined by faith, kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. A devout Catholic, his faith was the foundation of his life. He loved attending Mass and found great joy in serving and helping whenever he could during church services. His deep devotion to his Catholic faith guided the way he treated others—with humility, compassion, and a servant's heart.

An active man throughout his life, he especially loved cycling and could often be found riding his bicycle whenever he had the chance. He was a proud member of the American Legion and took great pride in his service to his country.

Although Richard enjoyed staying close to home and never had much interest in traveling, he found joy in helping others. A true handyman at heart, he had an incredible talent for fixing just about anything and was always willing to lend his time, tools, and expertise to anyone in need. His neighbors especially appreciated his willingness to help, his dependable nature, and his caring spirit. Richard never sought recognition for his good deeds; he simply believed in being there for others.

Quiet, humble, and genuinely kind, Richard touched the lives of many through his generosity, compassion, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His gentle presence, warm heart, and selfless nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Incarnation Church, 5757 W. 127th Street, Crestwood, Illinois. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church.

Inurnment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.

Richard's legacy of kindness, service, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, neighbors, and all whose lives he enriched. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
