Just wanted the Carollo family to know what a great man Rollo was. My mom and dad loved him like there own son. Always and I mean always was the big smile when we saw him. Let's not forget the Rollo moves on the dance floor. Deb and I will keep the family in our prayers.  Love to the family Tom and Debbie Balke.

Bob, you will be missed. You have been a good friend.  Pam, Santo, and Nicholas, our prayers and thoughts are with you during this sad time. Bob is out of suffering now and may God keep him in His Hand and may He continue to bless all of you.

This is a real bummer. I just came across this. Bob Robert Carollo Carollo passed away four days ago. We called him Carollo. He was a Specialist 4th class in the 2nd Battalion of the 7th Cavalry, First Cavalry Division United States ARMY. 1976-1979 "Gary Owen". Bob was my room mate at Ft Hood Texas. He is from Chicago. Bob was the best damn mechanic the ARMY could ask for. Bob could pull up with a VTR (Vehicle Track Recovery) and pull a pack (complete engine and tranny) from any unit and replace it, hook it up a fire the unit up and go. (tank. armored personnel carrier). He was and will always be an "Outstanding Trooper". Bob was a no nonsense kind of guy. I can hardly believe that this has happened. To his Family; trust me when I tell you that there are a lot of Veterans out there from the 1st Cavalry who totally respected Sp4 Bob Corollo. If they knew this you would hear from them. So I will speak for us all when I say Bob we love you Brother. You will be missed. Soldier on! Gary Owen! We spent the winter of 78 in Wildflecken Germany on a 6 month temporary duty assignment guarding the Fulda Gap (the Iron Curtain). On NYE we threw our own party in the motor pool among the tanks and other vehicles. Bob favorite song at that time was Queen "We Are The Champions of the World". We played that at midnight. Bob came out to Las Vegas in 2008 and stayed at the Riviera. Kim and I hung with him and his wife for awhile then they left and Bob and I partyed until the sun came up. That was the last time I saw him. I will miss you brother..

My condolences to the Carollo family.  I worked summers in the mid-80's at the Village with Bob and always liked being partnered up with him.  He was funny, smart and an all around nice guy.  Everyone liked him.  He will be missed.

There are no words other than my heart is broken that you were taken from your family and your friends at such a young age.  I was blessed to have you as my friend and neighbor for almost 20 years. Actually, you were the first person to talk to me when I moved in, in 1997. Bob, I can only say that it has been a while since I have seen you in your backyard and I will miss our little chats  by our fences. I was with you when you passed and will never forget the kind person you were to my daughter and I. You will be greatly missed and so sorry this happened to you. Rest in peace Bob.

My condolences to the family and friends of Robert J. Carollo.  We were classmates in H.S.  So sorry to hear of his passing. Praying for God to comfort all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Bobby was everyone's friend and would do anything for anyone.  He was a great person and will be missed greatly.
