I just learned that Ron has passed. My condolences to Charlene and the kids. I grew up with Ron. Mr. Cesario mentioned the Parkside Pizza and I thought of the gang that would hang there and deliver for Jim and Fran. The gang was Ron, Frank, Bruce, Jim, Carl, Steve, Al and myself. What great memories. RIP Ron.

It was so much fun to work with Ronny for almost 25 yrs.  When I think of him I always smile.  I know you will miss him and though I haven't seen him for many years, I will miss him too.  He was the best.

Charlene, thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. Our memories of Ron are plentiful--the Lind-Waldock days, the parties at Lee's, his Santa stories.  May all the good memories give you solace and carry you forward.

Ronnie, our cousin from Chicago, was how we thought of him when we were little kids. My twin sister Paulette Lytle and I( Annette Walenta)would see him when Ronnie and his family came to visit Grandpa and Grandma Englund in South Dakota. Ronnie was a year older then we were so we had a lot of fun together. In the 1990's we got together for our family reunion at Loren and Gladys 's . It was so fun seeing him again and I'm sorry we lived so far away and never really got to know him! 
We extend our deepest condolences and we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.
I would like to add that our mother, Ronnie's Aunt Nadeane Buri, together with our brother Scot Tiesing also send their condolences.

Mr. Englund was a longtime CCD teacher and Eucharistic Minister at St. Terrence and played Santa Claus at Breakfast with Santa for over 30 years. He was beloved by many. I will miss seeing him at church in his Bears jersey.

Ron helped us in the process to get two of our granddaughters baptized at St. Terrence.  Our prayers are with him and his family.  He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was one of my favorite people at St Terrence. Always had a kind word and helpful hand to all.

Mr. England was a very special individual....he was a big part of Alsip when I was growing up....he will always be remembered as a great umpire and the perfect Santa....Ron was one in a million.  My prayers and condolences are with his Family.

RIP Mr. Englund, you will always be remembered as a familiar face in the community. Great memories of you as an Alsip Little League Umpire, St. Terrence Santa, and All-In Englund on poker nights. Thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

I have so many childhood memories of Mr. Englund, from White Sox games, to WWE Wrestling matches, to umpiring baseball games and of course from Santa at Chirstmas time.  He was a great man and he touched a lot of people's lives and put many a smile on children's faces at Christmas time.  My deepest sympathy to the Englund family.  Heaven has definitely gained a great man!!

I am so sad to hear of your loss. I only met Ron a couple of times, but what a nice man he was. We live across the street from Chris and Tony Chap in Bismarck and Ron was the first one to come and let us know of Chris's situation when she had her stroke.
