Rosemarie Stanis

RoseMarie was born on April 17, 1941, to Ronald W. and Anne (Ruglio) Bradshaw, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, and Des Moines, Iowa. She later made her home in Oak Lawn, Illinois, where she lived until her death. RoseMarie worked as a secretary on LaSalle Street in downtown Chicago and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

She met the love of her life, Joseph Stanis, on a blind date, and the two were married in 1970. Together they built a loving home and raised two daughters.

RoseMarie was deeply involved in her community and family. She was an active member of the PTA, served as a Girl Scout Leader, and participated in the St. Germaine Women's Club. She also earned a degree in Travel. Above all else, family was the center of RoseMarie's life, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to those she loved.

RoseMarie is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Joseph Stanis; her daughters, Roseanne Stanis and Marianne (Eric Rietow); her cherished grandchildren, Addison and Jaxson Rietow; her sister-in-law, Donna Bradshaw; her niece, AnneMarie Staples (Bradshaw); her great-niece, Alyssa Bradshaw; and many loving cousins, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald W. and Anne Bradshaw, and her brothers, Ronald Bradshaw and William Bradshaw.

Family, friends, and all whose lives RoseMarie touched are invited to attend visitation on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady at St. Germaine Catholic Church, 9711 S. Kolin Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453.

Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, located at 87th Street and Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park, Illinois 60805.

RoseMarie's kindness, devotion to family, and generous spirit will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.
