

Born on September 4, 1948, to the late Patrick and Patricia Fitzpatrick, Sheila lived a life defined by love, creativity, and devotion to her family and community. She was a proud graduate of Chicago State University and went on to share her passion for learning as a teacher at Sahs Elementary School and Nativity B.V.M.
Sheila was an avid reader and a talented artist whose creativity, compassion, and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Above all, she was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her five children, whom she cherished deeply.
Sheila was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Slonskis, with whom she shared over 45 wonderful years of marriage. Loving mother of Julie LaFrancis, Elizabeth (Todd) Kappel, Paul (Laura) Slonskis, Margaret (David) Brown, and Theresa (Daniel) Prado. Cherished grandmother of Olivia, Rose, Jacob, Rudie, Elliana, Emmet, Vance, Bella, Daniel, Maxwell, Zoe, Evelyn, and Isaac. Adored sister of Michelle (Edmund) Mirecki and the late Kevin Fitzpatrick. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sheila’s memory will live on through the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the many hearts she touched throughout her beautiful life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 6th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gerald Parish, Oak Lawn, Illinois. All services will conclude after the Mass at St. Gerald.
