Thomas M. Flynn was born on April 7, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. He passed unexpectedly at home on February 8, 2024, at the age of 60. Tom lived his entire life in Chicago, following in his father’s footsteps into the Chicago Police Department. Tom spent 31 years as a police officer and retired in April 2018. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time in his yard with his dog, watching sports with his family, and polishing his prized automobiles. Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Joan (Kirby) Flynn. He is survived by his father, Thomas S. Flynn; wife of thirty-one years, Linda Horras; three children, Elizabeth, Thomas, and Timothy; siblings, Daniel (Renee) Flynn, Peggy (John) Roeske, Maureen (Steve) Campbell, and Tim Flynn, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 12 – 2 PM with a service to follow at 2 PM. Interment private.
