Thomas J Long

Beloved son of the late Jack A. and the late Mary Ellen (nee Scanlan) Long, Thomas was a devoted and cherished brother to John (Beth) Long, Michael (the late Maureen) Long, Mary Ellen (the late Richard) Zagorski, Margaret (Michael) McMahon, James (Esther Rodriguez) Long, Janet Long, Catherine (Tom) Carlson, and Patricia (Brett) Schultz.

Thomas was a loving and proud uncle to Kristin (Chad) Drew, the late John Tobin, Bridgette (Pete) Holaves, Elizabeth (Mike) Bohnsak, Katelyn (Stephen) Petry, Conor (Bre) Long, Alex Carlson, Nicholas Zagorski, Meaghan Long, and Caimin Long, and a cherished great-uncle to many.

Thomas will be remembered for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and the quiet kindness he extended to everyone he met. He especially found great pleasure during his time in Park City, Utah—a place he held close to his heart. He embraced his love of skiing, fishing, and golfing - passions that brought him both peace and happiness.

He will be deeply missed by his many friends, especially those at Alden Estates of Orland Park, and by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Interment private.
