Beloved husband of Eileen (née Grant) for 39 wonderful years. Loving father of Sarah Duffy (Chad Thornberry), Bob Duffy, Katie (Brian) Turnock, and the late Michael Francis and Timothy McNamara. Proud Papa of Grace, Maeve, Eleanor, Frank, Will, and Mick. Dear brother of Mary Ellen (Dan) Kiedrow, Mike Sheehan, Noreen (Huda) O'Connor, Therese (Dan) Walsh, and Pat (Nancy) Sheehan. Devoted son of the late Frank and Joan (née Mahoney) Sheehan. Cherished nephew of Sr. Mary Sheehan. Dear brother-in-law of the late Maureen (Jim) Mulryan, Kathy (Jim) McGee, Lori (Tom) Hurley, Mary Beth (John) Prendergast, Pat (Marianne) Grant, Ann (Butch) Roche, and Peggy (Tom) Dineen. Fond uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many whose lives were made brighter by his kindness and generosity.
Tim was the definition of a family man. His love and devotion extended far beyond his immediate family. He was the one everyone could count on and the first to show up when someone needed help, the last to leave, and the person who quietly carried others through difficult times. He cared deeply for his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, asking for nothing in return. His generosity was endless, and he truly would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Tim never met a stranger. He was a familiar face throughout the neighborhood, where countless friendships were formed over the years. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others made him a beloved member of the community. He treasured lifelong friendships that became family and leaves behind many who will forever cherish the memories they shared.
A proud graduate of St. Christina Grade School, Marist High School, and the University of Pennsylvania. Tim played football at Penn on the historic Franklin Field and made lifelong memories spending time at the legendary Smokey Joe's. He was also a grateful friend of Bill W., finding strength in fellowship and, in turn, offering hope, encouragement, and friendship to many others throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tim's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
