Trudy Casares (Martinec) age 77, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Trudy was the beloved wife of Ruben. Loving Mother of the late Richard (Caren Tarvin) and Brian (Marta). Devoted grandmother of Aaron (partner Jessica), Brianna, Nathan, Sasha, and Lolly. Great-Grandmother of Cameron. Trudy is preceded in death by her parents John and Dolores (Burchak) Martinec and her brothers Richard (the late Phyllis) and John (Mary). Trudy will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a faithful servant of the Church, teaching CCD and serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
A Visitation for Trudy will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St. Christina Catholic Church, 3342 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655.
